Do You Want to Give Superb Back Massages?

Majority of folks enjoy getting a massage but very few people feel comfortable offering a massage to someone else. We’re frightened of unintentionally causing hurt to the other person. Also, it’s possible to feel scared that the massage might not be good enough. We are concerned that the person getting the massage won’t like what we’re doing. You will be glad to learn that any person can learn how to give an amazing massage each time they want to do just that. Here’s info on how you too can give anybody an amazing back massage.

First, be sure that the person is comfortable while lying down. Firm and soft are what you want in terms of the surface on which they are lying down. You don’t have to have a massage table table but you can have them lie down on a bed. If they are on the floor, place a few soft blankets, towels or a mat so that the person will feel comfortable. If the massage-ee prefers to keep his or her shirt on, see to it that the shirt is made of a softer material to prevent accidental scraping and friction build up.

Start with a couple of simple rubbing. Using the enture flat side of your hands, rub gradually up from the lower back toward the neck. This rub has to have at least a little bit of pressure in it but don’t apply your full massage pressure yet. Start at the lower back area and glide your hands in an upward motion, along either side of the spine toward the neck then across the shoulders and back down the back. As you keep doing this, make your loops smaller and smaller so that you are able to cover the whole back.

Using the heels of your hands offers you a superb way to offer great and pointed pressure. Using the heels of your palms to generate pressure, start working in small circles at the base of the back on either side of the spine and then work those little circles out toward the person’s sides, up a little bit and then back across to the spine and upward until you have massaged the entire back area.

Sit on one of the sides of the person you you’re giving a massage to. Then, place one hand on top of the other and dig into the back a little bit with your fingers. Begin at the spine and dig in steadily and with firm pressure across the back away from the spine and then lightly sort of slide your hands back across the back toward the spine and move up. Do this again while working your way up the back and then do this on the other side.

Massage the spine. Starting out with the base of the spinal column, work your way up each of the sausage like muscles on either side of the spine by rubbing in tiny circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Knead each small node at least five times to create some friction before moving on to the next. Massage all the way up one side of the back and then work up the other side.

One of the things to bear in mind as you work through these massage techniques is that it is a good idea to re-relax your person between each portion of the massage you’re giving. For example, after each technique you apply, perform the basic rub we talked about at the beginning of the article for a couple of minutes.
